ABOUT OUR PRICES
PERFORMER ESSENTIALS OK, Mikki and I are both professional performers (for details see, well, the rest of the site really), and we know what it's like. You have a bunch of skills, no single store or site has got what you need, so you end up buying bits and pieces from all over and it all costs a fortune. Well, because of my production company, I've been buying wholesale for years, so I know what this stuff really costs. Over the years I've helped out friends, but I just got so tired of performers being ripped off that I decided to give everyone a break. Plus, there's some stuff you just can't find anywhere. We will endeavor to find everything you could want, at fair, performer friendly prices. Markups on performing supplies can be ridiculous, even up to 400% or more. We're not that greedy. For example: go to the magic store and a bag of twisty balloons can cost around $13.00. Wholesale it costs about $4.00. We'll sell it to you for $5.00. We make less than a buck, not $9. We'll even go one better. Buy an even dozen bags and they'll cost you $4.50 each. Sure, you may be able to get them a few cents cheaper if you maintain an account with a distributor and meet their minimum orders, but we don't make you spend $100-$250 per pop to get a fair price. We don't let percentages dictate our prices. We 'tack on'. If something costs us, lets say $100, we'll tack on $25 or so for our part in it all, instead of adding the traditional 100% markup or more, costing you $200 or more. We make a little, you save more than a little, everyone's happy. If you don't see something you need, tell us and we'll try to find it. If you see something that we sell anywhere cheaper, let us know and we'll try to match it. If anyone can offer a lower price it is probably because of large order incentives from the manufacturer, and we can't always compete with that... yet. In addition, some manufacturers set limits on how little their products can be sold for (called MAP- minimum advertised price). We have to stick with that, but may be able to offer overall discounts or other incentives that would drop your price even lower. We want to make a buck, obviously, but we want to look after our own, and that's performers. We all work hard on those gigs, and we should be able to keep some of the money we've earned. The more people who know about us and keep us going, the more stuff we'll be able to offer and hopefully find even more ways of helping you save. All of the items in this section are priced below suggested retail, in many cases far below. Just how much depends on what it is and what it costs us, but you will always save.
